Daffodils are commonly planted in lawns, gardens and parks throughout North America. The daffodil is native to Europe. It has a large and prominent cup, usually as long as the petals, with single and double varieties available. Flowers are solitary and range from yellow, white and pink. Leaves are 3/4" wide and the plant grows to 15" tall. All parts of the plants in the genus Narcissus, including the bulb, are poisonous if ingested and contain toxic calcium oxylate crystals.
